Peter started drinking in his early twenties. In his family, his Mom and Dad were both alcoholics. There was a lot of domestic violence when I was a child. Shame, abandonment, and loneliness contributed to his alcoholism.

Ellen started drinking at 14. In high school, she started smoking pot. She went to work after high school and started selling pot. I like changing the way I feel. Eventually, I got into hard drugs.
